Join us for this Alaskan tradition of Mother's Day with Musk Oxen 2024, an all-ages event at the Musk Ox Farm! Come out to see our adorable new calves!

What to expect

Moms get in free on Sunday! Everyone else attending are admitted by donation.

There are no regular guided tours on Mother's Day but you will be able to take a stroll through a chute and meet some musk oxen.

The mama musk oxen are in charge on Mother's Day, so that means they set the tone for the viewing of the little ones. We cannot guarantee that they will be right next to the fence, but you should be able to see them.

There will be some fun activities and demonstrations including kids' card making for mom, story times, and enrichment activity for the musk oxen (weather permitting). CLICK HERE FOR A DOWNLOADABLE/PRINTABLE SCHEDULE.

In case you haven't guessed it, the 2024 Calf Naming Theme is: EGGS!

(The educators in us must point out to all the kids out there that musk ox babies are live-born...not hatched from eggs....but it is a fun naming theme!)
